About Shari Unitan, LMFT
I am a dynamic and highly experienced psychotherapist who specializes in working with very young children (ages 0–5) and families experiencing conflict and/or challenges associated with separation and divorce. I have specialized training in early child development, investigation of child abuse and neglect, domestic violence and IPV dynamics, and gender fluid, gender expansive youth. Even though I specialize in working with young children, my practice includes youth and adults of all ages.
You may notice colorful dots throughout this website. My tag line is "Connecting the dots". What this means in terms of my practice, is that I see multiple factors, or data points in the lives of the families I serve. Once these dots are connected, a clearer picture emerges reflecting a path forward and a better understanding of how to achieve the treatment goals.
My primary goal with every family is to see and hear the unique voice of each child, to assist the family in determining what is in the best interest of that child or children, and to help move the family forward to create that reality.
